Welcome

Gary & Lynn welcome you to The Smithy set in the beautiful rolling landscape of the Peak National Park.
Originally a 17th century drovers inn and more recently a traditional blacksmiths, The Smithy, set in 4 acres of land, provides distinctive, quality accommodation in a unique setting. The converted and separate barn offers you en suite, well sized rooms, overlooking hills and fields and equipped, as you would expect, with TV, DVD, refreshments etc. The blacksmith's shop has been lovingly restored as a dining room, where your breakfast is served. Still in place are the original forge, bellows, anvil and tools of this historic craft which served the needs of the communities hereabouts. The comfortable lounge, terrace and garden with wildlife pond are perfect places to plan how you will enjoy the countless attractions in this beautiful location. Our hay meadow is a Grade A conservation area having many rare and beautiful wild flowers.
